New to Modern

So after I had my friends play enough modern to have me interested I put together a Melira Pod deck. So excited to play but I don't know much about the meta. What are some helpful tips you guys can give me? Any decks I should look out for. Any tricks I can be aware of. I play standard very competetivly so I'm excited to hop into this new format. Any advice helps. Thanks!

Watch out for artifacts. Affinity decks can run you over so bad if you're not careful

affinity you say. Ill be on the look out. Besides artifact destruction of course what's a good way to go about playing one?

Exile permanents are good always. In my opinion. And well just try to keep the number of artifacts low so Affinity can't let them drop anything for next to No mana cost.
