Ok so if I attacked with a creature with a cipher can I cipher that card onto a different creature or not

When the encoded (ciphered) effect goes off, you cannot encode it to another creature. It requires you to exile the card itself, which is impossible at this point, since its already in exile.

And ciphered ability is not a card anymore. Haha
