Hey fellow imtg members, im back with another article and today I am doing something a little different. I will be talking about modern masters and if it is worth it.

Now I have good and bad news, which one do you guys want to hear first? I know, I know, the good news. So the good news is, Modern Masters has exiting rares, mythics, uncommons, even commons! This just makes MM really awesome. The bad news. It is a chunk load of cash out of your wallet. So i will explain "is it worth it?"

Now first, lets talk about prices. A box will usually be around roughly $250-$300. A pack, about $10. They do this just because of all of the money cards. Lets take a look at the money cards:

{Tarmogoyf}- this guy is the most costly card in this set. In future sight it is about $170 on here and around $150 on scg. So in MM he would be roughly... $140 on here and $110 on scg. I think this because te original is always a higher price. Ex. Lightning Bolt from alpha is $10 but from 2010 core set it is .50.

{Dark Confidant}- he is another money card. $60 from ravnica so i would assume that it would be around $40 in modern masters.

{Vendillion Clique}- this card is almost the same price as Confidant, but not that high. She is roughly $50, so i would guess a $30 price tag on her for MM.

Other key money cards are: {Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker}, {Progenitus}, {Elspeth, Knight-Errant}, {Sword of Light and Shadow}, {Sword of Fire and Ice}, {Lightning Helix}, {Veldaken Shackles}, {Aether Vial}, and many more.

And what makes it better is that you get a foil in EVERY pack. So not only do you have a chance to get a goyf, you have a chance to get a foiled goyf!!

Now is it worth to get a box? No. It isnt. Ok, you get a lot of money cards in there, BUT does it secure your money back, maybe but not all the time. If you got it cheaper than $250, then you should get your money back. You get 24 packs, can that secure you your sweet foiled mythic? My speculation is yes, you should have a good chance.

Now lets talk about a draft. If you get a goyf, slam it down, if you get any mythic, besides the blue, red, green an white dragon, slam it down unless you get a good foil. I would highly suggest doing a draft for MM before getting/picking up your box.

I hope you guys enjoyed this article and can learn off of it. :)

I would suggest going into detail abou how you might lose money. Highlight the rares that arent worth $10+ so people can see what their rare might be, and how thy might lose money paying 10$ a pack for a $3 rare

Your first example is comparing an Alpha card (100% of the time always more expensive) to one of the thousands of reprints of lightning bolt. This is your rationale for Tarmogoyf costing $30-40 less? I'm pretty sure almost anyone will take whatever goyfs they can get, because of the limited amount.

You assume confident will be $20 less, no logic, no explanation. Just cut $20 off because they changed the picture?
You said the exact same for Vendillion Clique

This isn't really an article, just a written out explanation of your thought process on MM being released.

You finish the paragraph off by contradicting yourself, and then saying you should have a good chance of something that is mathematically very hard to do. Pull a sweet mythic, and it be the foil in your pack.
Baby steps...

Please take that more as constructive critisizm as I know that post sounded dickish. Just pointing out what kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

Where are you getting your prices for Goyf? I'm seeing him at about $117 on TCG. Jut saying.

Goyf is $113 and Bolt is $1, not $170 and $0.50
