Anyone know if I can pay the kicker on a Demon, Dragon or Angel when I bring it in using her ability?  Thanks

If the effect says play without mana cost u can pay optional additional costs like kicker and have to pay extra costs(like exiling cards from a graveyard or whatever). If it says put in play, the opposite

With {Kaalia of the Vast}, you aren't casting the creature, just putting it directly on the battlefield.  You can't pay any costs.
