How does rug survive {supreme verdict}

Any cards that stop it?

Mentonin

Managing resources should be the most basic way. Just hold some cards in hand, you don't need to throw everything down. Force him to verdict when you have comebacks

{yavimaya hollow} or anything that regenerates creatures. Indestructibility definately helps too.  I just can't think of any off the top of my head but I'll browse the DB and try to get back to you.

Rug has such powerhouse drops that you shouldnt have to over commit to the board. A wrath should be favorable as it clears the way for your dudes. The real "answer" though is flash dudes since you can follow up a wrath with lots of haste or psuedo haste damage.

Add white for  {Boros Charm} maybe. In what format?

Standard. The only reason I didn't say was because I thought {supreme verdict} was only popular in standard.

Dudecore

I don't think RUG cares about {Supreme Verdict}, it almost ruins tempo to play around it so much. It just keeps dropping powerful creatures an doesn't need to be greedy. Like Kaleo said.

My deck is based around +1/+1 counters. It is an odd ball deck

Kaleo42

In that case {experiment one} and {wolfir avenger}.

Gorzo

In standard, your only options are regeneration and Indestructibility, really. If you add black, Golgari has some great answers right now, from {Golgari Charm} to {Lotleth Troll} to scavenge to make use of the creatures that do die. And if you add white, boros has {boros charm} and {Legion's Initiative}.

Sadly, {Mindbreak Trap} is not in standard :P maybe Theros will have an "exile target spell" spell to deal with the mass uncounterables in the RTR block. (Pipe dream)
