Gay animals die without procreating, that's nature's way of getting rid of them :)

I have to question the decency of this statement. It smacks of eugenics and I can  see how it would stir up dischord in this discussion. Piotr, you were well within your rights as forum administrator to ban Harvest for offending you and I don't dispute your right to silence conversations in your forum that make you uncomfortable. Still, I think it's important for all of us to try and understand the perspective of the members on the other side of the debate in order to enhance our learning and understanding. It saddens me to see that neither side of this discussion exemplified this skill. I say this not to stir up contempt or to show any disrespect to Harvest or Piotr or any other member that participated here but in the hope that future discussions will progress with a greater spirit of inquiry and tolerance.

And now back to your regularly scheduled debate.

Wrong. There are quite a few. Dogs and Cats exhibit homosexual behavior. So do Dolphins (also one of the most intelligent animals.), Garter Snakes, Salmon, and Gulls. Also, if it exists in nature, it's natural.

i call BS on this because you obviously don't know how salmon reproduce. They don't have to have you-know-what to reproduce. The female's lays eggs, and the males just shoot there seed into the water. Since they don't have you-know-what, they don't have any you-know orientation

Edit: salmon also die after reproducing, so there lives are based purely on instinct and have no room for homosexual behavior

I think abnormal is probably a better word than unnatural.

Agree. Abnormal still can have negative connotations to it that I don't agree with, but by definition, it is accurate.

As for the gay animal thing...the Columbus zoo has a bisexual penguin.

In my experience, dogs will try to mate with anything and everything while they are still immature.
