I have two questions one is if say you hit someone with a  {Stromkirk Noble} and re direct it to a plains walker would he still get a counter

Also if a card has first strike does that affect fighting so the first striker will deal there damage first?

Double-O-Scotch

First off, you don't redirect combat damage to a planeswalker. Direct damage can be redirected to a planeswalker, but your creatures must attack the planeswalker directly. Planeswalkers are not players so when they're dealt combat damage, it will not trigger your {stromkirk noble}

Double-O-Scotch

2nd question, first strike has no effect for fighting. Only lifelink, deathtouch, wither and infect have any impact on fighting. All other abilities require combat damage, which fighting is not.

For your first question, a slight correction. The only damage that can he redirected is noncombat damage. Any damage not dealt in combat that would hit an opponent can be redirected to a planeswalker they control. If you wanna have an attacking creature hurt a planeswalker, you declare that you're attacking the planeswalker.

So your Stromkirk Noble attack hits the planeswalker, will he get a +1/+1 counter? Unfortunately not, because a planeswalker isn't a player.

Second question, when creature fight from they keyword, like {Prey Upon}, first strike and double strike don't matter. They just deal damage to each other equal to their power. No creature gets any benefit of hitting first when fighting.
