Pauper is commons only.

Pauper is always an amusing format twist. Considering the lack of common legendaries though, you'd have to determine a way to change what can be you commander/general.

I was thinking mythic or rare general and maybe allow for uncommons.

So ban list of broken generals, commons and uncommons, modern legal only to restrict to power level. The idea is for a more fun edh build and play like it was meant to be origionally. I love edh, but it feels like casual in that you dont know if youre sitting across from dragon tribal or affinity.
