Well yes your right, but someone asked me to help them with a set, and to help figure out how colors matched up for a three color combination.  He/She was making a set around three color combinations like BUG, Junk, USA, etc...

So I wanted to play off what they did with bant and esper, so I made them a charm like they did with {Esper Charm}, {Grixis Charm}

My interpretation of tri-color combinations is summed up into three words.  Each color has three words of what it means, and each can join together and have a common intrest.  I came up with something for USA

Illusion (Blue), Impulse (Red), and Protection (White)

Spells can't target themselves, because you have to choose targets as you cast the spell. It isn't on the stack yet, so that wouldn't work.
