Card alteration??

I was wondering about altering magic cards? I saw people selling altered cards on eBay. What is a good printing process to do this??

Depends on what should be a result... Foil or normal? With foil you must use holographic film and then transparent finish... Normal ones are printed on hi-res photo film...

It is a lot of really hard and precise work with cut...

Also I recommend really good printer with seperate ink patrons (8 seperate)...

The hand painted ones are true alters; most of those foil digital ones you see on eBay are rip offs that can't even be played in tournaments. They are essentially expensive foil proxies that are getting sold for more than they are worth.
Hand painted ones are the ones that are worth more, and those actually can be played in tournaments for the most part.

I would strongly disagree... I play some of those alters... If they are right way made then judges have no problem with them... You can never find them within deck if sleeved... There is almost no difference from normal foil...

Anyway I agree with you that real alters are those painted ones... Bcs it needs some skills and they are really hard to make and it takes much more time...
