I think it mite be for  {Geralf's Messenger}

That's what I figured. In that case, you could get max value out of it by making room for a {Mikaeus the unhallowed} or two.

I'd recommend a couple {Grim Backwoods}, they don't come in tapped, and when the time is right provide a sac outlet, whether to be to dodge removal, or simply to sac a {Gravecrawler} to dig a little. They also help trigger {Geralf's Messenger} {Shock} at instant speed. And every time you do it you get a card. I personally really like that land.

What do you have {thrull parasite} in here for?

{Thrull Parasite} keeps  {Geralf's Messenger} online and the life drain/gain is relevent plus he is very good agaisnt planeswalker like  {Garruk, Primal Hunter}

{gravecrawler} and {rancor} synergizes very well, a 4/1 beater you can keep recasting for 2 mana every turn ( with another zombie on the board at least). My buddie runs a deck like this, {crippling blight} works amazingly for a quick win

Im thinking about dropping the last  {Garruk Relentless} for another  {Rancor} or  {Crippling Blight}

Maybe sideboard {garruk relentless} and the {deathrite shaman} for 1 {rancor} and 3 {crippling blight} to see how it all plays out for now? The shaman would be excellent in a mirror match definetly don't wanna
