Calculus is pretty easy, but its not going to make you any friends on here. Math knowledge is not equivalent to manners. As far as I'm concerned, you're unfit for Gatherer. I'm trying to help you out here, and all you're doing is getting pissy with everyone.

lets put this a different way. I have a {R}{G} deck. If I give you a cavern of souls and you send me a bunch of {U}{B} cards. That's not going to help me out very much, and I'd rather just not have traded in the first place

Seriously though. Why are you so hostile? Calling names was not the correct route to go down. This isn't Reddit. We like our members around here, and like to help each other out. Your poor attitude is not conducive to the positive environment the owner, mods, and members expect from the community, and therefore people are tagging your karma. Don't expect that to change just because you pitch a fit about it and don't do anything to improve.

I said myself, I believe your intentions weren't entirely hostile at first, and that they just came off that way. But continuing to condescend to the other users and telling them to .love. themselves is hostile in my book. Just take a few moments to think about how others are going to take your posts.

Scroll down a little, the crap that started all this is in the pm's. the original "need cavern of souls" thread caused the pm onslaught.

It's not an "onslaught," it is people willing to give you a {Cavern of Souls} in exchange for something from their needed.  As Birdbrain said, it's a two way street.  This is trade, not handout.  You gotta give to receive.  And saying you will give an unknown amount of cards for one is suspicious.  If you don't like the way trading is done on here, then don't trade.  That simple.  And there are posts all over the place telling the rules and methods of each board.  It's your choice to read them or not.  Don't come on here and use "I didn't know" as an excuse.  Take the time to find out before getting angry at others.

Well, he offered a logical and to some possibly fair trade and there's nothing wrong with that. We have no official enforced rules of how people wants to trade, really. The attitude needs to be worked on, obviously.

It will keep coming until you delete your posts or the thread gets old enough.

You seem to be logical guy so I want to point two things to you: it makes sense to lurk around and listen passively for as long as it takes to understand any community's rules. If you start talking too early the risk of offending people is not reduced. The other point is that karma come and go, no need to panic, go with the flow, calm down and it will rebuild.
