So my friend bought 2 modern masters for 400$ on eBay. He wants to sell 1 I said I'd buy 1. Then he says "nah what if the price goes up"
So I said I'd pay 300$,100$ more then he paid for it. He said what if it goes up to 400$ I said we'll that sucks for whoever wants to pay for that. Does anyone else HATE when people do this ?? GRRR >.<

Mikefrompluto

This is why I don't exchange goods for money with friends.

Nepentheceae

He caused me of bartering HAHA. Yea that's a good idea I think I will stay away from it.

Keyeto

It's reasons like this my buddies and I stopped having poker nights. Friends and money don't always mix well.

MisterJH

Nor family, unless you are giving them money. If you expect it back youre lying to yourself

adventus

Why not just preorder a box from eBay yourself?  They're still available for about $200.  Why pay $300?

Your friend does sound like he's being a douche about it though.

You can always do what I do - instead of money, have everyone get a big plate of snacks. Use your snacks as your bets instead of chips/money. Still get to play poker, still fun, and no money issues. Plus you get the comical situations of
"I'm in. I bet...three Doritos and a chips ahoy."
"I see your Doritos, see your chips ahoy with my thin mint, and raise you...six Oreos."
"Fold."
"Fold."
"Fold."

Do y'all think modern masters is really going to be worth it?

Are you DJ from the tv show Roseanne. They did that at the start of the show.

Gorzo

I've actually never watched Roseanne. That's pretty funny! My brother, a couple friends of ours and I came up with the idea when we were kids.

As for modern masters... It could potentially be worth it. We already know {Tarmagoyf} will be there if you're lucky, and staples like {Kitchen Finks} will surely be there. It will be pretty packed with value.

Birdbrain

I think Mark Rosewater (head designer at wizards) was on Roseanne. Could be wrong though

He wrote for Season 4 of Roseanne.

Most notably: "Take my bike, please" and "Vegas, Vegas" to which he's credited as the lead writer.

Mikefrompluto

He told a story in one of his podcasts about how he asked Roseanne and Tom Arnold for more money since the show was doing so well, and they cussed him out and fired him.

Which reminds me. There hasn't been a new Drive to Work in a month :(
