Does anyone on here do card alters?
I'm looking for tips.
I currently just use notmal acrylic sometimes mixed with a gloss. I just paint right on top but some times it doesn't work out :( is there better paint or technique?

You should just be happy you have the steady hand to do that!

It's cool that people can do that stuff, and I wish I could help.
But I'm not artistic.

Plus 1 for being able to do that!

Ty xD I mostly extend original art I have not yet tackled doing my own art on them (failed horribly at all attempts) I wish paint wasn't so expensive otherwise I'd do it allot more :p

Card alterations? Meaning make your own cards? My brother has a hand full of blank mtg cards. No name/picture/text, but it has a boarder and boxes where everything goes.

He made them out of thin air.

My brother has been playing mtg since he was 16. He's 32 now. He has a small handful of Alpha cards. And over 200 Beta cards. He got the blank ones from old tourneys.

A friend of mine makes custom tokens. You can acetone the ink off of mtg cards, leaving yourself with a blank card to print on. Certain sets keep their foiling, leaving you with blank foils. With the right tools and some skill, you can make some pretty cool cards. I give him all of my junk foils, and he makes me goodies, like a Monty Python Black Knight. My next commission for him is an X/X Earthworm Jim Wurm token.

I've tried the acetone (nail polish remover) but I usually end up with 1 or 2 wrecked corners :( practice makes perfect though.
