I think we need to have like auditions for it since it is competitive... Like submitting a home brew deck tech (NO net decks) and like the top 5 or something make it

Isn't part of playing competitive working with netdecks also? You know..because those are the decks you're most likely to face on a competitive level.

Exactly. I thought competitive was the definition of netdeck.

Yes, but the next level up in my opinion is finding non-netdecks that do well in your meta that no one is expecting and doesnt have sideboards for. ie, cifka's eggs in pro tour rtr. It was a sorta net deck but no one was really expecting it which allowed it to do well because no sideboards were tuned against it.

That's from play testing and brewing. It's not everyday that someone comes out with a pretty revolutionary deck. Going rogue is part of every meta. If any of us were any good at it - we'd be making lots of money on the pro tour.

And maybe we arent yet but if the "best" players and most advanced players on imtg come together and do this, they may get there.

Awee yea. I wanna do it and also like what we can do is help out each others decks. Like if you have something that a fellow team member needs and if he has something you need you can do an exange. Obviously you need to equal out the trade too lol

I am very pleased with Rogue T3ch so I will decline this opportunity, but I believe this is a great idea.

On net decks: Our approach is the same as the aforementioned "next level" of competitive play. Our team looks deep into the philosophies of Patrick Chapin and his ability to innovate both by growing on existing competitive decks and by developing new competitive decks through and understanding of those that exist already. Flexible players like myself tend to pilot the most rogue decks, while other's on my team will evolve on something established either by major events or our own testing.

Also the team must be 8. It is the magic number in competitive magic. Draft, top cut, etc.

Currently Dennis, Danny, Brent, Dillon, and Cody. Cody's brother's are possible candidates as well as another newer player if he can get up to speed fast enough. You will be seeing more of us on our youtube channel as we get better established.

Our group responsibilities are falling into place as we establish. I handle the collection and price speculation, Dennis monitors modern since we don't compete there, Danny handles schedule of events and the group pages. Brent and Cody are pretty well of on money, but are still learning the game on a competitive level. Dillon brings a lot of experience from other games that gives him a unique perspective though he is still tightening up his magic skills to be competitive. Dillon is also designing our logo which is a lotus with a dagger.

For deck construction, I serve as the truly rogue constructor making things that should never work dominate the local meta (which is highly competitive). Specializing in control and combo.
Dennis is a tribal aggro player who was trained extensively in control. This makes him want to play control style decks though we remind him his niche really is aggro. He is an extremely bright magic player and taught me a lot about the inner workings of the game and how to look ahead and gain info from limited evidence during a game.
Danny used to play years ago and only recently (1 year ago) returned to competitive magic. Danny is a drafting god. Aggro control is his preference, things like blue green madness and delver is right up his alley, however he tend to avoid the "top deck" like the plague unless left with no other option. He is learning to see all possibilities right now and is going to be the first judge on the team. By the end of the summer Dennis, Danny, and I should be level 1 judges.
Brent plays just about anything but performs best with aggro, he has a docile nature that sometimes limit's his decisions but is working on understanding the game thoroughly.
Cody loves American flash and esper control, delver was his deck of choice when he started last summer. Like Brent he is still learning but has amazing dedication and I often forget how knew he is based on how he speaks about the game and deck construction.
Dillon played yugioh for many years at a very high level and switched to magic i believe for the better community and as he is realizing a better game. He was an aggro player knowing no better, but now loves control particular in esper. Being so new I cant say where he will settle in play style.

Danny did an introduction to the team a while back and I put up a deck tech as a test. Wolf blitz deck tech will be up by tomorrow night with better sound quality.

If we're serious about this, I can pull some strings and get us a website hosted for free. No promises, but I think I can do it.

With serious people already committed to this project you can have http://team.imtg.org and hosting on my server.

T-shirts?? iMTG tEAM

I will give the branding if t-shirts contain iMtG Law. The commentary can be changed or omitted altogether. If someone wants to make a project please contact me via email or pm and ill pass high quality logo images.

The 'tournament' commentary can go, maybe: Do not lie. Do not steal. Do not cheat.
