This deck is very similar to a "peddler on the roof" focusing mainly on peddler, staticasters and niv-mizzets. Plenty of burn and control to protect them and planes walkers to search out and double spells. If you have any recommendations please feel free to input.

Yes definitely thragtusk! Waiting for a play set. The searing spears I found I didn't use much. I had 3 in and I wasn't using them. This is a slow deck. Typical is turn 1 devil turn 2 peddler turn 3 flash in staticasters at end of turn and soulbound with peddler to kill whatever has been put out and to save 3 mana just in case I need to counter anything. After that its mana ramp till planes and then niv for card drawing and 1 touch deathtouch.

And I've not had any problems with mana.

Have you thought about possibly {bonfire of the damned} instead of 4 mortars? Cause once you hit turn 5+ bonfire outplays mizzium simply Becauae it hits the player and the creature.

I know they are $$$ so could be an issue.

I've been looking for them. And the fact that they do cost an arm and a leg has been an issue. But yes I would swap out the mortars for them
