I'm not too fond of the old one. The new one works much better imo, especially in my reanimator deck.

Oh, I love him as a commander! He works well with {Butcher of Malakir} and {Grave Pact}, and has good synergy with {Teysa, Orzhov Scion}. He sets off effect like {Black Market} and {Blood Artist} easily as well. Keeping the graveyard full for {Debtors Knell} is also great with ETB effects, and not to mention how awesome he is for setting up Haunt effects. All the while draining life from the opponent!

I just started playing right after innistrad so I don't have a lot of those cards or him but I love the new one
