So I'll be visiting some friends next weekend and we'll be buying a $100 (app) box with 24
(I think) 15 card boosters. We'll be splitting it between the four of us and thus getting 6 boosters or 90 cards each for $25. We've done this already with Gatecrash, receiving many good finds like   {Obzedat, Ghost Council}  {Giant Adephage} and  {Hellkite Tyrant}. What set do you think we should get. Return to Ravnica, 2013, original Ravnica Block or preorder Dragon's Maze?

Sadly, these friends live 5 hours away and that isn't an option. We could preorder it, but were not going to wait to buy a pack.

It really depends on the set. Original Ravnica is an amazing set, people love it, also it is out of print, so it will cost a little more (if not quite a lot more) than a box of something that is currently in Standard.

The older you go, the more expensive it'll be, for the most part.  But I'm sure there are some undesirable sets you can get for dirt cheap
