New store ideas

A good store layout is important and something interesting and cool at that. Some LGS are just plain, couple of folding tables, blahness. Others have couches, interesting decorations, etc. To me it would be awesome for a Game Store to impress you just by walking in. Make it a place people want to be at.

Very true so like a home setting almost how do you guys feel about bean bag chairs to just sit and talk or chill in between games

Also, and ill say this is my biggest point for a store. Have Designated Space For Playing!
Especially if you're going to be running FNM's/pre releases/ etc...
Don't just put tables and chair where you can fit em. Have a big space where you can comfortably fit at least 30 peeps.
And don't do what my store did and arrange it so there's only one pathway to the back tables and post the pairings at the choke point. DRIVES ME NUTS!!!

I did not think about that my lgs store does that two so maybe put the tables in te middle and have pairings posted in the back and front

It would be cool if you had a "new players" section where you could have vets teach noobs, which would give them both something to do at your shop.

Diversify. Yugi and Pokemon can bring in money. Also I see snacks and pop are big sellers.

BOOO!! HIISSSS!! Lol nah actually a good idea. There's actually a big base of Yugi and Hero clix at my LGS. But they always get shoved to the corner for magic lol. It's pretty funny. But there's always days for no magic. But basically make your own schedule, the player base will adapt. Unless your schedule is whack! You'll hear about it

I've seen some kids who could barely wipe their own --- but drop a few hundred bucks on yugi. Also limit stock on other games to see what the locals are looking to play.

And cigarette smoke.  I'm not a smoker, and the smell of it kinda chokes me up.

WORST SMELL IN THE WORLD. I hate people who stand by an entrance and smoke. Usually I just hate the actions that people take and not the people themselves, but no. I actually hate the people that do that. I wish harm is inflicted upon them on a daily basis. Its so obnoxious. Im all for someone's right to smoke, but is smoking while standing right by an entrance really necessary?

Is it apparent ive thought about this before and probably need anger management?
