I have terramorphic expanse. It does the exact same thing

Which is why you also run Evolving Wilds at 2+. Just because a card does the exact thing doesn't mean that running more isn't good. Running those cards get the lands you need earlier on and allow for consistency. I would say run less If you had a better mana base with more mana fixing but your mana base is all over the place and is practically filled with basic lands.
