How is suicide legal under iMtG law?

"Do not Harm"

Believe me, a suicide harms a lot of people, I have seen the devastating effects first hand. I would not wish such a thing on my worst enemies, I have never seen so much hurt. It's been well over a decade and I still think about it.

Piotr

Suicide is legal because nobody can force you to do something against your will, in this case to continue living. Or even simpler, do not make people who don't want to live, live.

It's a moral question; one with no right or wrong answer.  The crux of the problem is that suicide is inherently a selfish act, where one's desires are placed in front of how others might feel of said act.

That being said, anyone has the right to do what they wish; unfortunately many do not weigh the consequences before committing.

As a footnote, suicide is illegal in the United States.

Hmm.. Demons, idolatry, mysticism, an endless list of images, symbols, and narratives involving these ideas...

Nothing to see here, folks.
there are also angels and humans that does nice stuff. Hehe .

My family used to be deeply religious and I had piqued the interest of my childhood friends from church into MTG.  When the pastor and parents of said friends found out about the relation to the occult, they banned us from playing.

Anyone can rationalize thier behavior to suit thier beliefs; It's all about perspective.  Whatever helps you sleep at night - I certainly didn't because it made me feel guilty.

Looking back on it now I knew that they were right in that context.
you still play right? In my opinion every person can do whatever they like as long as they don't hurt someone or do something beyond the norms. We have free will and we have valid inferential reasoning or logic and that's what seperates us from animals. I don't think this card game can do harm when it comes to religion or beliefs. this game in my opinion is just purely fantasy. I Appreciate your comment bro.

Exactly. It's just a game with images inked onto cardboard. It's not going to make me question my beliefs or start worshipping Satan.

If you want to look at this problem from the perspective of the ones who love the suicidal person and wish to prevent the suicide, they may not use force in prevention.

Like I stated, anyone can rationalize this as their interpretation of what the cards mean.  To you, they might be cardboard and paper; to others It's images of everything anti-christian.

I personally don't care either way and I still play.

I Pastor two churches and I love to play MTG and find there is nothing wrong with it. It's a math based strategy game that has pictures of monsters and wizards on the game pieces.

That's right. And if a Christian is uncomfortable with the game they should not play. I am a Christian and not uncomfortable so I play.

Anyway my first job was in Ryemill Bakery at 17 pushing bread through a slicer for 5 months on two 10 hour shifts a week for $220, those were the days until they shut them selves down. Job after that is a tiling apprenticeship that holds alot of potential for big $_$

My career is one of those you love and you hate! I work full time Military Funeral Honors for the National Guard the death and the morbidness is the part of the job that I hate, but love the feeling I get when I am able to give back to someone who has given up his/her life, his/her family, his/her career and mode goals to do his/her part to keep us free.
