So let's say that I am using an infinite mana deck. (the specific cards do not matter here)
And my opponent is also using an infinite mana combo deck. If I cast {Fireball} (or any other (x) damage dealing spell) and them he counters it with {Syncophate} or {Broken Ambitions} who's spell wins? We both have infinite!

Psyhcicwars

What exactly is infinite mana? Just curious.

To be clear, rules state you must select a number when casting X costs, even with infinite mana. You cannot simply say infinity, you must select a number even if it is a quadrillionmillionbillion time 10. Therefore you cast the spell first, and must select a number, allowing him to select a number higher than yours and counter your spell. The fireball's caster cannot win without an added factor. Infinite v. Infinite the second player must always come out on top according to rules.

ie. {axebane guardian} + {galvanic alchemist} + whack load of defenders.

Kaleo42

Cant actually have infinite. Rules specify you have to designate a finite number.

MisterJH

Well.. 3 defenders in addition to 1 axbane seems to be enough there

MisterJH

So you could {syncopate} his {syncopate} and declare a higher number since your opponent must also specify a finite number.'

Trunksthemighty

Just look up a really big number that practically no one knows exists ending in all 9's and they probably won't be able to tople you. Granted they don't know the number that's bigger

MisterJH

I believe they can say, and i would quote, "i have infinite mana so let X equal 1 more mana than you spent on your spell." I would force them to accept that at least.

Double-O-Scotch

So what your saying is... Nanana booboo

MisterJH

Hahaha that is precisely what im saying

Double-O-Scotch

Holy mother of all things holy,  I despise {U}
