2 less lands generally, keep your mana curve less than 3 unless you are running ramp, use 3-4 of every card instea of 1-2 ofs, it promotes consistency in your deck. A few cards that are mainly win conditions can be run with 1 or two copies but use this sparingly, generally you want 4 copies of pretty much every card. Decide how you want to win, find cards that support your decision, and build around that. Keep it simple, its too easy to compicate the deck and try to add too many different functions. Also start with a playstyle that suits what you enjoy. If you want to beat down your opponent with absurdly huge creatures(timmy style) then build around that, green is a good color. If you want to win with a huge crazy combo or some insane synergy where every card makes every other card better, research. Read many articles, and find some tips. Look up decks with a similar theme to yours on google, and only pay attention to the decks that run 3-4 copies of almost everything. Feel free to ask questions on this forum, the people are great and generally wont give you such long answers. ;p

Thanks a lot! Would a mono green elf deck be good to run with  {Domri Rade} I would just need shock lands or I almost thought about running an Elf Goblin deck with  {Krenko, Mob Boss} and assorted goblins. Try and get 2 mor  {Tower Defense} to help protect against flying? I'm open to all suggestions and want to learn more about this game. I am brand new, started a month ago. Thanks for such a quick reply and I promise I won't give such long responses ;p

MisterJH

Personally i wouldnt run dual tribal(elf/goblins) because tribal generally works together, but if you can pull it off more power to ya. Mono green elves can put the hurt pretty bad, especially in casual. Theres the elf thats adds mana for each elf, and one that places a +1/+1 counter on creature for each elf.. {domri rade} would be uneccessary but ill see if he could be used well

MisterJH

Elves are generally creature and rampy, so i think domris +1 ability could really do a lot. I definitely like that idea, card advantage almost guaranteed? Also with so many creatures youll have chump blocks if need be to protect domri, as well as acces to {fog} and {druid's deliverance} and probably others

I'm liking this idea MisterJH, I think we are on to something. I need to get 3 more {Elvish Archdruid} some of those cheap instants.

MisterJH

I just like to help, i was in your position not too long ago. I put in an absurd amount of time though(too much) and researched and i feel i have come a long way. I aim to pass my knowledge to noobies to boost their learning process

Another question, if I have 2 or more  {Ivy Lane Denizen} on the battlefield and a green creature enters the battlefield does that creature get a +2/+2, +3/+3, +4/+4 how ever many I have on the battlefield up to 4?

MisterJH

Each will trigger separately. This means 4 instances allowing a +1/+1 counter to be placed will be on the stack. All 4 will resolve separately, allowing you to place 4 different +1/+1 counters. You can choose to place 1 on 4 different creatures, all 4 on 1 creture, 2 on one 2 on another.. Etc etc
