Cards gone forever.

Well, yesterday morning at 3am a fire consumed most of my home (disclaimer: no ine was harmed (: ) taking all of my magic cards with it ): it's sad because I just got this app about a week ago and I'm in love with the forums; just getting to know my way around and what not, getting excited to play a wall game... you get the idea. Still using the forum everyday and it just makes me wanna play even more, ha! unfortunately all money that could be spent on cards is going towards helping my family find a new home.
My question is this, brothers. Has anything like this ever happened to you? if so, what did you do to satisfy your magic cravings in the meantime?

I went through a tornado at my house. It doestroyed almost everything. I had a deck and my box of rares i am not trading make it out. I feel for ya bud. Hope it all turns out ok!

That really sucks, but I'm glad you are safe and unhurt. I hope everyone else is unhurt as well.

I had some very serious flood damage about a year ago, so I understand to a lesser extent what its like to see your home damaged. I can only imagine how rough a fire is. My condolences, and I hope insurance is super generous and cooperative with you to help get you back to where you need to be. Stay safe!

Thanks so much for all the warm feelings, guys. I just wanna be clear that I'm not asking for handouts here, but if you fellas are willing then I'd be overjoyed and couldn't thank you enough. Although i cant understand the damage and loss aspect, my mom and brother collaborated on sellin all my magic cards back in the day, when {sensei's diving top} and 4 {darksteel forge}s werent worth 70$ -.- along with many oter extraordinarily nice cards that wouldve helped me along today... So as far as magic goes ive been in the same situation.. The house, not so much im sorry this happened man thats rough

Also, I can't really relate to any kind of damage like that, but I can assume it's horrible to have lost all your stuff. I hope you find a new home fast, and maybe the Planewalkers will take pity on you and give you your cards back . I wish I could send some cards, but really the only cards I have is one deck a made that isn't very good. Sorry

Funny thing is, we actually still have our computer, somewhat. It's been out of the house for a few weeks now because the hard drive crashed, so it wasnt around during the fire(: better unoperational than destroyed.
