If I attack with  {Frontline Medic} and  {Geist of Saint Traft} will the angel trigger battalion on frontline?

I'm afraid not. Three creatures have to be declared as attackers for battalion to go off. Effects that put things into play attacking will not go toward battalion, as they are not "declared" attackers.

If you attack with both medic and geist but nothing else, battalion wont trigger.

If you attack with medic and geist and a third creature battalion triggers.

As in the second case when battalion triggers aswell as geist you get to choose wich one goes on the stack first.
So you'd have battalion first then geist on the stack.

This way your angel will also become indestructible.

But to your original question, no.
