 {Lich} +  {Ad Nauseam}

Perfect combo since as long as {lich} is in play, you cannot lose by loss of life.

Edit: also a means to grab a sideboard card with  {Death Wish}

Gorzo

It's a bit mana expensive, but {platinum emperion} would work great for this too

Nice, can use a  sac creature with a {deathrender} to get that one into play

Problem: loss of life means sacrificing permenants. Very soon you will have to either sac the lich or 'lose the game' which I can imagine you will have to do it before you see all your cards.

However. If you use {Platinum Emperion} or {Platinum Angel}, etc. it could work quite well.

The phrasing of {lich} indicates sacrificing only if dealt damage, not paying life.
Another, less costly way to negate damage dealing is imprinting an {angel's grace} onto an {isochron scepter} and activating it when dealt damage.
Edit: had just seen a problem with using the  {Platinum Emperion}, it prevents the  {Ad Nauseam} from being used by preventing you from paying life.

Ahh I see where I went wrong.

Also you can't 'pay life' with lich either.

Rulings from gatherer...
10/4/2004   You can't pay life, just like any player at less than one life can't pay life. You can pay zero life if you want.

However, it seems that is not what's happening here. You are "losing life" rather than "paying life"

One very good way to deal with the sacrifice permanent effect of the {lich} is to use the combo in a zubera cycle deck, having in play  {Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar}, {enduring renewal} and {aluren} along with four each  {Dripping-Tongue Zubera},  {Silent-Chant Zubera} (card draw) and  {Ashen-Skin Zubera}

Once the familiar, {aluren} and renewal are in place, then cast the {lich}. Drop as many zubera as you have in hand, (hopefully at least 1 silent-chant),
then you can sac them for any damage you take, returning them to your hand from the renewal and dropping them as instants, this will also buzz you through your deck very fast, especially if you play a {wheel of sun and moon}

Another way to negate damage to you is by having a {stuffy doll} {pariah} combo with this.
