If I'm attacking with a non flying creature, when my opponent declares a blocker to that creature and then I respond with {aerial maneuver}, will aerial maneuver make that creature unblockable as long as the defending creature doesn't have reach or flying?

Thanks. I had a guy that I was playing for fun at pre-release yesterday tell me that once the blocker is declared the flying effect does nothing

. Once he is declared blocked he is blocked. You have to do that after the declared attackers but before the declared blockers

You can give him flying after he blocks you, to be clear.. But you wont accomplish anything by it.
