Not sure if this goes here or not but I can't think of anywhere else to post it. I've been playing about a year now and have been trying to learn more advanced play. What exactly is a mana curve? And how can I use it to my advantage?

A mana curve is basically a statistical look at your decks colors and cmc. Generally you want more cards as you go from cmc 1to 4 and then heavily skew to the right. Decks may differ obviously.

Ideally during a game one curves out. Curving out is when for your first 4 or 5 turns you are able to use all your mana each turn.

What do you mean skew to the right?

Statistics term. You will have fewer 5+cmc than anything else but they skew the average c regardless.
