Pride Guardian, Palace Guard

If  {Pride Guardian} is able to block more than one creature, do I get three life for each block or just three life total? Also, my friend was told that  {Palace Guard} can only 4 creatures because it has toughness of 4. My friend and I say that it is not limited to just 4 creatures. We can't find a rule on it, so I'm asking if he is limited or not. Thanks for any info you can give.

If Pride Guardian blocks multiple creatures, you'll only gain 3 life. It's ability takes effect when it's declared as a blocker, which only happens once. Palace Guard can block more than 4 creatures, but it will likely not survive.
