Xbox 360 help....

So I've been an box user forever just got a new one for Christmas and I'm already haveing issues with it X/... I shut the system off and it randomly powers itself back on and ejects the disc tray (sometimes hours later!) anyone know why it's doing this?

Btw this Is a first time probiblem for me...

Could it be the fact that I'm useing the power cord from my last 360?

That sounds like it could definatly cause problems, I thought they made them differently after a period of time because they overheated, but don't quote me on that

You can quote me on it . I had to buy a new xbox because my refurbished one was an older model that used the older components.

So after swapping cords it still did it to me again...
Decided I'm just gonna go exchange it for a new unfaulted system tommrrow sense it's still under 90 day warranty from the store I got it at

This lol.  I've been given a refurbed xbox and it overheated.  Had to go out and buy a new one and I'm still pissed that I have it.  Unfortunately all my friends have 360s rather than ps3s 
