As part of the package, would you like to have an Apprentice? You choose one Gathering user and they are granted entry to this forum. You would be responsible for teaching the forum law to your Apprentice.

Go ahead, I don't think I'll make user UI for that. You name the guy and I'll put him in a special Apprentice user group. Makes sense if it goes through me because I made the law so I want to approve the Patron first.

Ok, and there's more. You could get in-app switcher in main menu submenu, accessible as Facebook-style left menu, to switch between your Patron and Apprentice accounts. This would work well for people who share iPad with their son, for example.

I actually figured the technicalities of that already. I have some old script lying around from the time when Gathering was added. It can login to Gathering from iMtG code, with login and password. I didn't use it then because I decided it's quicker and probably safer to leave authentication to SMF guys. With SSL, should be no problem.
