If you haven't, I suggest anyone to read MaRo's (Mark Rosewater, lead MtG Designer) blog. He answers questions, explains design, is funny and it's a great thing to have as players. He gets into keywords sometimes and has stated: -1/-1 counters will never be in a core set, protection/regenerate don't act like the name implies and design doesn't like it, storm will never come back.

As fans of the game, were able to interact with the designers and developers is just fantastic. He does a podcast while he's driving to work, writes great article, designs cards and then tweets and answers questions on tumblr. None stop.
