Great for Golgari... Haste and a 5-mana scavenge 3/3 for 3?!  Should be a rare.  I'd definitely play it if I liked using green or black.  Which I don't...

In three turns, you got a 5/5 flier, they took at least 5 to the face, and you draw a card.  Doesn't seem too terrible for 5 mana.  No JtMS, but not the worst.
Having no +(insert number) doesn't mean he's bad, it just makes him a bit trickier to use.  And the above situation is obviously situational, as well, if the redundancy makes sense.
