Think like this you have it out on the defensive end and I attack you in commander only with my general with lethal damage. You respond "maze of ith" and take no damage and remove the creature from combat

Normal game application would be if some swings with say a big fatty you can't kill same thing maze of ith it and then deal with everything else or you can combo it with something that will force Untap it

I get the advantages of the card but still do not get the price of the card... more than 30 $ is simply a little too much...

Maze does not remove blocking creature from combat... U cannot use it that way...

Maze does not remove blocking creature from combat... U cannot use it that way...

You can. It's an attacking creature. He's saying if I attack with a 4/4 and you block with a 1/1 and giant growth him to kill my creature, I could use maze on my creature to save him from bein killed and make you waste a giant growth.
