So what do you guys think? It's hit and miss sometimes and a ruination can be a serious set back but fun when it starts to roll.

You might need more creatures, especially considering you have to block your own commander.

What's plan-A to win with the deck? Karona beef-up and attack?

Karona can give himself +3/+3 so if it gets through, it's significant GD. Slowly been subbing in planeswalkers for creatures and usually distracts long enough to drop either {sorin Markov} or {magister sphinx}. From there, its 10 life to the finishing line. Lots of search to deal with opponents shenanigans. I'm sure it needs slightly more land but with 5 colours, it's difficult to narrow it down.

I recommend adding at least a few creatures to help on the defensive - Karona is going to be helping your opponents hit you pretty hard. I like changelings with karona, that way no matter what creature type your opponents choose for her boost, you get the boost too to help block. {chameleon colossus}, for example. There are some fun ones.

Good call. Plus land searching {homeward path} helps keep her in check too. I was also thinking {armadillo cloak} so I gain life equal to the damage it deals me, effectively neutralizing the danger to myself.

Both very good ideas! You still have to wary of dying from 21 total commander damage from her, but armadillo cloak will not only neutralize the actual damage (minus the commander part of it) but gain you life when an opponent attacks another opponent wither her.  And homeward path is great for protecting yourself.
