Researching EDH

If I use  {Research // Development} in EDH, could I put four of the same card in my deck?

If its like {spawnsire of ulamog} thos cards need to be in your sb. And if i dont rember wrong you can only have 4 of the same card in both your mb and sb so i guess just one of any card each thats not in your mainboard. I think this got confusing but hopefully you understand me? :)

In EEG you can only have one card in your deck/sb so if you have a {northern Paladin} in your deck you can't have one in your sideboard

It doesn't say sideboard it just says from outside the game. Plus EDH decks don't have sideboards

Well check the ruling of spawnsire.
I would say thats what it goes by. It says that in sanctioned games play cards from sideboard. In casual any cards basicly.
I guess its your choice as longs as its not the world championship in commander ;D
