Can you counter spell ninjutsu?

You can not counter ninjutsu with a counter spell but you can counter it with say cards like {stifle}

No. Ninjutsu is an activated ability. {Stifle} and {Trickbind} would work though. A card for a Ninjutsu reference for others' benefit: {Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni}.
