Hey there everyone. I was played azorius at the prerelease and I've been mulling an azorius deck built around {isperia, supreme judge} and I was curious if I could get some ideas on how to go about building it. thanks

Chadgamer

Isperia isn't really a "build around" card. If you want her as general, I'd go to gatherer and look at Blue and/or White top rated cards. UW goodcards.deck has some great options and Isperia fits right in

I would say if you are gonna do draw you can do a couple of things

1 add {Rayne, Academy Chancellor} that way when you get attacked to targetted you draw a card

2 I would stay with drawing cards so add {Howling Mine} and a {Font of Mythos} also you could add the {staff of nin}

3 Add {psychosis crawler} when you draw you ping everyone

4 Easy infinite combo and I've found it pretty slack on ppl being mad at you for doing it {Mind Over Matter} and {Otherworld Atlas}. You discard a card and untap the atlas pump its counters up then discard and make everyone draw then repeat and draw everyone out.

I would throw in Knowledge Pool and Curse of Exhaustion to make your opponent never play another spell.

You're in good colors for board wipes!

Detaining and card drawing would be good, I guess. And if all you put in your deck was flying creatures, it'd be really annoying to a lot of decks.

Then have {copy enchantment} copy the curse to another player so you have 2 players cursed

How is this not allowing your opponent to play a spell? Could someone explain this combo to me?

{Knowledge Pool}
{Curse of Exhaustion}
read them :P

So if a spell is exiled it can't resolve? Ew, evil.

Not so much it can't resolve, but the player who is cursed can't cast a second spell to pull one out of the pool after his original cast is exiled into.

Double-O-Scotch

So wait a minute. You only get one spell and the first spell (that is exiled by knowledge pool) does or doesn't resolve?

It doesn't resolve, it gets put into the knowledge pool instead. But it still counts as the 1 spell cast per turn, because "casting" doesn't care if it resolves or not.

Murtaugh

I will just say that {Knowledge Pool} is one of the most confusing cards ever.

Erzengel

White has tutor for enchantments out those into you deck

{Academy Rector}
{Enduring Ideal}
{Enlightened Tutor}
{Idyllic Tutor}
{Lost Auramancer}
