Deck building

I just  bought the m13 deck builder kit. These are the the only cards I have for now is it worth trying to build a double colored deck such as red and black or just keep them singled? I never played before until now so deck building tips would help as well thanks

Starting with just one color isn't a bad idea, especially when learning the ins and outs of the chosen color, especially it's strengths and weaknesses.

If you splash another color, make atleast one color green. Green is good at helping to get other colors of mana, use cards like {farseek} and {axebane guardian} to ease the mana.
