Is wolfrun dead?

So is wolfrun dead or is it just waiting for gatecrash?

I'm asking because I want to know whether or not to pick up a playset of wolfruns.

{kessig wolfrun} itself isnt the most loved card, but has uses.

The old tourney deck is gone, gruul might bring something that can revivie it, but without {primeval titan} and {inkmoth nexus} the decks versatility and capability has gone down the drain.

Werewolves is still viable, but people have to start running {nightbird's clutches} to make the deck viable.

Losing {Green Sun's Zenith} hurt the deck.
{Huntmaster of the Fell} is still around, never count him out.

Huntmaster is really good, especially if you can get it out quick. And the kessel runs are amazing for creatures that trigger when they deal combat damage to a player cause you can almost always pump him up to make sure at least 1 damage gets through.

You can accomplish a lot of wolfrun things now, I made a deck based around {Huntmaster of the Fells}, {Wolfir Silverheart} and {Bonfire of the Damned}, and mana dorks like {Birds of Paradise}, {Llanowar Elf}, {Boarderland Ranger}. It ran like a top and I could fetch anything with {Green Sun's Zenith}.

But is losing {Green Sun's Zenith} hurts the most, the dorks can be replaced, the face beater can be replaced, but finding whatever you need when you need it is irreplaceable

Come GateCrash and the return of Gruul, its safe to assume you will be seeing huntmaster and silverheart again. Wolf run Is far from dead, it's just in a slight lull while other color combos are at a slight edge.

Although there aren't 'wolfrun' decks, a lot of jund lists do run it as a 1-2 of from what I've seen
