Overrated RTR cards

If you're playing control and waiting till turn 7 to offset an Aggro deck, you're in trouble. And it's not really that great in the mirror either.

You can play better cards for less cmc.

I like it, the cmc makes it adaptable to board presence. I find myself using it on a single target blocker/nasty buffed attacker/taking away an ultimate from a PW  more than using it as a board sweep. At worst it's an expensive {unsummon} that can hit PW's.

Don't get me wrong. I love this jace, even made a non aggro deck because I pulled two in a sealed  tourney( one in pool, other in prize packs). But I also think the card is over hyped.

He's really good.

He's playable at 4 cmc. His most used ability is his -2 which lets you reveal 3 cards and your opponent puts them in 2 piles...pick the best pile. He's the type of PW that u just kill him with his -2.
Watch some SCG games where people played with him...I don't think he's worth 50$, but he's still really good.

None of those are instant speed unless you set up the draw on the other player's turn some how.

I agree that {Jace, Arcitect of Thought} is overrated. So he can {Fact or Fiction}. Yeah it's good. But $50? No way. I traded mine for a {thragtusk} and a {cavern of souls}, and I'm perfectly happy. I'll get much more use out of those two.

True. But my point was you can play better things for 7 cmc. And with the popularity of of miracle decks, it happens often enough on they're turn.

Entreat the angels is a win con, cyclonic rift isn't.

I will point out that if one player miracles entreat for 7 and the other player has 7 to overload rift...rift wins.

No. You don't play that game. You rift for 7 and I {syncopate} for 1.

I was stoked when I pulled {vraska, the unseen}. Then I saw it went from $40 to $25 and cried a little.

Love the idea. Why can't they make all PW cost under 4 or under? Then people would be more apt to play them
