Ok. If you want real conspiracy here it is:

I have friends that play yughio. I've never played but they tell me that they think magic is gunna start trying some of the yughio abilities soon. And we have already seen their start. Something called "palmerization"? I have no idea. But it's a fusion type thing for two creatures and they combine powers and abilities.

Two examples of this:
Soubonding
Living weapons

Also, and I have heard this referenced in my play group as a joke, the exodia cards where you win the game for having 5 cards on the field, well, we've seen certain combos like that too, maybe not winning the game but card interactions like that:

Throne of empires
Crown of empires
Scepter of empires
The Urza's lands.
