Red Green Starter Deck?

Hey guys I just started this week my friend gave me a red green starter deck and I play against my friend who also just started who has a blue black deck and I crush him all time does anyone know why cuz I can't figure it out!!!

It's not a actual starter deck but its just 60 card that we could start out with I chose the red green deck and anialated my friend with it

If you're both fairly new to the game, there may be interactions or timing advantages that your friend isn't utilizing in his strategies ({U}/{B} has a lot of spells that deal with threats before and after they hit the field).

In all honestly it mainly depends what the decks focus on and what they have to counteract each others strategies.
