Sucks I finally got my u/r/w controll miracle the way I want and need it to be a a good deck and win. I went 4-1 last night and only lost to infect because in the third game I sided in wrong. Took things out that I shouldn't have. Ok so we are losing {mana leak}. How good is {syncopate} never played with it. I'm done just venting cause it took me a while to figure out the right combo of cards and now I will be losing like 17 cards including my sideboard.

Three of my spells have those. I guess if u don't use them than u play against them and don't like them.

{Syncopate} and {Dissipate} are gy hosers to help fight flashback/Snappy/Scavenge tricks.

Sur I was just thinking for the purpose of not havering to chose between creature and non creature spell via {negate} and {essence scatter}. I don't want to have to chose. {dissipate} is fine but 2u and at three it is not as good.

I want to but who hold extended tournaments? My current shop doesn't. I am moving to s. Dakota so hopefully they will. Where do u guys play extended? Just with your friends or what?

Extended isn't very popular. You'll have more luck finding modern tournaments if you want to keep using your decks that are cycling out.

It's all part of the great rotation. It happens. Adapt and make use of the influx of new glory coming in the new set. If you are dead-set on playing the same deck over and over forever, I hate to say it, but standard just isn't the format for that.

Understandable, we all know what it feels like when our favorite deck loses its MVPs. But you have lots of people here to help you come up with solutions/replacements.

They syncopate/counterspell discussion could go any which way and depends a lot on how you used mana leak the most. That's a tough call. But what other key cards are losing in the rotation, and what type of deck do you run? I'm sure we can make some replacement suggestions for ya

{gitaxian probe}.   {day of judgement} {karn liberated} {surgical extraction}  {mental misstep}. I know DOJ is getting replaced I guess I could use bolas for karn. The other I think there is a SE like card.

DOJ is easy enough to replace. The new Azorious board wipe, and {Terminus} are probably your best candidates.

Are you using gitaxian probe more for seeing hands or more for cheap draw? {thought scour} can replace it as a cheap draw spell, and gains instant speed, though you lose the hand-peek. If you're using it to get players to reveal their hand, is {duress} in m13?

{Shimian Specter} is not as easy to use as surgical extraction, for many reasons, but of you need that effect, it's still in standard on a different body. If your deck is {W}/{R}/{U} though, you might be better off with something like {Nevermore}.

I'll be honest, I'm terrible with choosing counterspells, so I'll let someone else comment on replacing those.
