Not sure how you're casting her at instant speed, but yes. :P This is for the most part the same effect, but not as restricted. Plus can hit GYs.

Kaleo42

{alchemist's refuge} and any flicker instant could be easily used.

Phat Max

That'd be the jankiest thing to pull off, lol!

Assuming its reanimator, you'd be running a 4 color deck, and couldn't pull that off til turn 9 at best. :)

Don't say you'd play ramp cause it's green... Cause... No, just no ;)

Kaleo42

{Restoration angel}, {cloudshift}, ramp, and splash black for rites. 3 colors.

The refuge requires U/G, the angel is W and rites is B. 4 colors.

Ahhh, gotcha. I was referring exclusively to reanimator, hence my posts.

My apologies if I sounded condescending.

Not at all, i see what happened. I think in all reality im gunna use her in my deadeye navigator combo deck. She's the insurance i have been looking for she brings back my dead combo pieces.

A guy named joel... He created the jankiest stuff in the world because he played for fun, but every deck he made and every time he played he could give jon finkel a run for his money. I learned everything i could from him while he lived here. He is The best player and best deck biulder i have ever known personally and had he been more competitive he wouldve ruled the fnms, ptqs, and all the other events in the state. They way he looks at the game is amazing. It's a realm of infinite possibilites and he doesnt limit himself to his goal, he allows his mind to take him in every direction that could end at his goal no matter how jank or convaluted it is.

I found out i had developed similar thoughts when i was teching with a teammate. The boardstate was {heartless summoning}, {havengul lich}, {priest of urabrask} for infinite mana, but no burn spell and i had to beat him that turn or id lose to infect. I had a {forbidden alchemy} a {solemn simulacrum} and a {inferno titan} in my hand and a {phyrexian metamorph} in the yard. My team mate looked at it and saw that i could cast solemn, then alchemy in hopes of hitting {bonfire of the damned}. I instead cast solemn, cast metamorph coping solemn and thinned my deck, then cast alchemy hitting two land an inferno titan and a solemn. I kept a basic land and pitched the others i cast the solemn and thinned more, and then blew danny's mind by casting inferno titan and shooting my own solemns and drawing more cards. I continued a insane process of casting and killing my solemns with the second titan and then metamorphed the titan to keep it going and drew another titan to dig even deeper. 28 cards later with all that and an alchemy then finally used my last basic land to flash back the alchemy that finally hit the bonfire for the game.

Strictly worse has a specific meaning in magic. Conditionally worse and strictly worse are different.

Strictly worse means that there is realistically never a situation where you'd want the lesser of the cards.  Either you get more effect or better results for the same CMC or you get the same effect for less CMC.  This is pretty rare.

{Ashcoat Bears} and {Gnarlid Pack} are strictly better then {Runeclaw Bears}.

Otherwise, conditionally better means that card A is often or usually better than card B, but there are time where you'd rather have card B.
