Shock lands

If I fetch out a shock land with say a {misty rainforest} dose it come into play untapped ignoring the "shock" from the land or dose it still apply?

Since misty rainforest doesn't affect tapped/untapped, I'd say the shock still hits.

You still get a dual land.

Having lands like this make 3 colour decks much more consistent with mana. Cracking a {Misty rainforest} also gives u options like you could get a shock land a pay life or don't, can get a basic to have it enter untapped without losing life etc. it also gives more more landfall triggers and thins out ur deck.

You could use your {Misty Rainforest} to fetch a {Stomping Grounds}, take the two damage and cast a 2/3 {Kird Ape} T1.

The great part is having the options.

Misty can get your Stomping grounds, {Temple Garden}, {Steam Vents}, whatever you need.

Then, you can decide if you need the mana right away, or if you have nothing to cast you can wait a turn.

More options, more consistency, more power.
