New deck idea

So I want to build something different, something that will take everyone by surprise but at the same time not cost me an arm and a leg.

My meta
Is delver, R/G,naya, or tokens.

Any suggestions? Ideas, anything?

I'd say build jund but it'll cost an arm and a leg...

Delver: loses to heavy aggro/utility creatures and passive life gain
R/G and Naya: lose to damage prevention/ lots of life and strong wrath
Tokens: loses to hand disruption and strong wrath.

I recommend turbo fog, zombies (if you have the cards), or if you really want to catch people off guard with something new, try lotus combo.

I used to run zombies but the only problem I had was either against tokens simply because of flying

Could hardly get my levitation out in time

Green white doesn't do well at FNM at my meta, it may top 8, depending on who shows up

And. What is lotus combo? I have never heard of it

{gilded lotus}, {deadeye navigator}, and either {deceiver exarch} or {zealous conscript}. Pay 2, flick the exarch or conscript, untap the lotus and tap it to add 3 mana then pay 2 to flick and add 3 so you have 4 etc etc. Then with infinite blue mana keep flicking to take your opponent's perminents or tap their stuff or untap your stuff infinitely at instant speed. You can generate any color mana by untapping the lotus again and again.

Also...why did you have levitation in a zombie deck? Why did you have blue?

Ah ok, think I may wait for ravnica to be released before I make a deck, seems like there are too many good cards in Te first set to not have in a Jund deck
