Block with a creature and then sac it, taking no damage and yet still utilizing it's sac ability?

The targeting and casting are simultaneous.

No, because you have to declare a target as you cast the spell. If they are responding to you spell, it's fait accompli.

Now, two seemingly retarded questions. Can Aether Adept target creatures in graveyards? Thereby acting as a resurrection machine of sorts? And secondly, if one were to play with four Aether Adepts, does its ability come into play every time another one is put onto the battlefield? Exponentially?

Yes, pretty much. A good play, considering I had one creature and no hand.

As always, Jester, you are indispensable.

So, essentially, her {nightfall predator} dies, but my 6/8 {auriok survivors} become 6/4? Until end of turn, that is.

Basically, I had {auriok survivors} equipped with two {sharpened pitchforks} and it was my only creature in play, she had {nightfall predator}, {immerwolf}, and {ulvenwald primordials}.

That is exactly what I thought. Except, of course, the ability of {nightfall predator} being used during the combat step.

My opponent uses nightfall predator (sorry, dont know how to link) to pick a fight with one of my creatures. My creature wins. Can my creature block during their combat phase? I assumed it could, as the predators ability is sorcery speed and therefore not being used in the combat step.
