A way to "lock" or "flag" a message so you can find it easily?

(Like someone's address you trade with often?)

Yea I was going to run this in a modern {B} devotion deck but Maralen would be a gift for combo decks.

Can you active ate {
Duskmantle Guildmage} first ability anytime or do you have to activate it before any card went to the graveyard to deal the life loss?

I have nemesis of reason in play and I declare an attack 1) at what point do I have to say who I'm attacking and 2) if somebody returns nemesis to my hand while I'm in my declare attackers do it still do it's effect?
