Who is with me in not liking the new card art for Lilliana? She looks like she is sick and needs a sandwich. Is there a reason for this? Storyline wise I mean?
{Liliana of the Dark Realms}
Wait who killed who? Did Garruk or Lilliana triumph? They made two cards.
Im still unsure about the conclusion Of the inni block :P
Lol fluff for magic these days? YEAH RIGHT.
Liliana looks good to me now!
What block did liliana curse garruk in anyways?
I am guessing Innistrad because of {Garruk the Veil-Cursed}
I thought she left Innastrad before Garruk found her again after she killed {Griselbrand}

I think they are both very much alive.
As alive as fictional characters can be. ::)

Yes then she left Innastrad to look for the other 2 demons that hold her contract.
Ok so herr is my understanding. Liliana happened to run into garruk on whatever plane the veil is from (which is not innastrad) and cursed him there. He proceeded to follow her (no thanks to jace who said he wouldnt help garruk find the witch, garruk then warned jace not to go to zendikar because its too dangerous for someone like him. If only he had listened...). Garruk tracked liliana down an was easily defeated on some zombie filled plane, then he found her on innistrad and proceeded fight, i believe liliana won that fight too, but acacyn's spell did something to garruk after the fight. I forget if it healed him permenantly or temporally. There was an article one the triumph cards that explained most of this.
What I heard was Garruk was beaten and left for dead by Liliana, who then proceeded to kill Griselbrand and leave Innistrad.

I believe he did manage survive, unfortunately :(. Lili > Gary IMO
Garruk and jace are the best

I personally think lili is the best, then jace or sorin. Mono {B} <3
Elspeth for the win

Hopefully someone drew 7 cards before this happened.
Hey if you read the flavor article on odric it shows garruk attacking a witch and acting like a savage. Sorry, I don't have the link...
I hate the art for Dark Realms, and honestly, I think {Liliana of the Veil} is way better. I prefer hand disruption over land drops any day, and her 2nd ability doesn't specifically target dudes, so it hits hexproof and indestructible guys. Her Ultimate is completely devastating as well, although you hardly need it or get to it.
Dark Realms is cool but she is just not practical in standard. Now in casual with {Drain Life} there she is a complete boss.
I don't really like anything about the new lilli.
And btw bolas wins all! Breaks jace's mind protection with out trying.
Does Tibalt and Tamiyo have anything to do with the story? Or are they just a couple of PWs WotC threw in to sell packs?

Nope, Tibalt is a Demon, only relevance, and Tamiyo is from Kamigawa, wth?

??? wth ???
They wanted a two-mana PW, and figured they owed one to {R}, and they wanted a {U} non-Jace (BFT!) and wanted to show that Planeswalkers have a home plane. Why shouldn't there be a non-storyline PW? I'd rather they made awesome PWs that may not be part of the main story than to awkwardly force the story to the design needs or vice versa.
Two central story characters, Avacyn and Griselbrand, wouldn't have made sense as PWs, and if they DID we'd get ANOTHER {B} and a {W} 'Walker?
Now off my porch you meddlesome kids! π΄

I was simply telling him that no, they don't have anything to do with the story.
I think they both have their uses.
It's just that I hear/read so many complaints about those two PWs in particular. That wasn't directed at anyone.
It's just SO π₯π₯ my brain is melting and dripping out my ear. ππ₯

How?
He just seems kinda broken IMO. It always seems like when Venser hits the field, I know I'm about to lose. And I usually do. I may just suck against decks with Venser in them though :P
I wish {Jaya Ballard, Task Mage} got her spark, then mud wrestle Chandra for famed Red Mage.

I'd pay to see that
I have nothin against non-canon walkers. In fact I think they should start doing that in core sets and save the REAL characters for story arc-based cards. As far as "owed to red" red has never really had a PW worth writing home about and IMO {Tibalt, the Fiendblooded} didn't change that. The viable ones are almost {U}{W} exclusive. (WotC's most coddled colors)

I love {Liliana of the Veil} and have a huge soft spot for {Sorin Markov}. Then again, I'm a black mage =]

Y U NO LIKE {KOTH OF THE HAMMER}? ??? But, for as much as I <3 Chandra, she's been underwhelming. I think they were really working with their hands tied behind their back with Tibalt by making him {R}{R}.
I'd put {Koth of the Hammer} at the top of red PWs but they tend to cost to much to do to little. Or in Tibalt's case just not worth the card slot. If you are top decking his +1 is useless and if you have no creatures he is toast. His final will almost never go off.
The new Lilliana is alright. As someone already said better for casual than standard, at least at this point. I wish she was something like a {B}{B} instead of a 4 drop even a {B}{B}{B} would be ok.

The card art sucks, and she's just not MY style of black, I like hand disruption and removal, she has limited removal, and 3-drop Lilly has both!
